Kungs (pronounced Koongs) also known as Valentin Brunel, is a rising star in the music scene hailing from the south of France. Introduced to music at a young age through a djembe gifted by his parents, Kungs developed a deep appreciation for Rock’n’Roll classics. At just 21, he gained global recognition with the hit track ‘This Girl,’ a deep house remake of an Australian trio Cookin’ On 3 Burners’ funk song. The song topped charts in 45 countries, including France, and garnered numerous Top 10 placements worldwide. Before this breakthrough, Kungs gained popularity on SoundCloud and worked on remixes for major artists like Axwell /\ Ingrosso and Lost Frequencies. His debut album ‘Layers’ achieved platinum status, and he’s currently working on a new collection of tracks. Kungs has received prestigious awards, including ‘Best Electro Album Of The Year’ at Les Victoires de la musique and NRJ Awards for ‘DJ of The Year’ and ‘Best French DJ.’ Known for his impressive live shows at events like Coachella and Tomorrowland, Kungs also collaborates with fashion house Paul Smith, showcasing his versatility and unique appeal across music, fashion, and culture.
